There is something captivating about working within a group. The space to open ourselves and share with others. Sometimes language is not needed; just being in the same space as other human beings, even with the eyes closed during yoga or meditation, can offer an intimate experience. I am amazed when I witness the way in which people are able to communicate with each other when they are connected with themselves as individuals, with a regulated nervous system and in touch with their own values or in touch with their hearts. There are many ways of putting words to this. I like to allow each person to be themselves and to find their own ways of adding words to their experiences. Some people are more drawn towards spirituality while others are rational beings with logical minds. I have certainly moved between these two spaces, and I still do. This is why I like to encourage openness and welcoming whatever way each person has of seeing and understanding their experiences.
My main goal in practice is to help people feel empowered to take ownership of their own physical and mental health. To learn to identify their needs and to develop a compassionate attitude towards themselves. We all need company, support and guidance at times - But we can also learn to offer these to ourselves. By connecting to our present moment experience, we can develop an inner intuition that helps us recognise what next step to take in what feels like the right direction. We learn to light up our own inner flame, generating energy and motivation to be present to our realities. In a logical, therapeutic language, we are learning to regulate our emotions and to identify what thoughts and behaviours we want to modify or develop. With this work we develop psychological flexibility, ways to recognise the physiological experience of subtle or strong emotions, the relationship that we have with our minds and strategies to work with our habits, reactions and impulses.

Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and engaged in the moment, with an open, non-judgmental awareness. It involves noticing thoughts, emotions and bodily sensations as they arise, without becoming attached to them or reacting impulsively. Mindfulness helps cultivate clarity, focus and emotional regulation by creating a deeper connection to the present moment. The practice of mindfulness helps in developing alternative ways of perceiving ourselves, our internal events and our interactions with others. We can all learn more about our capacity to experience joy and difficulties, cultivate balance and create a sense of wellbeing throughout all life experiences.
There are many options to start the journey of practicing mindfulness. Ask yourself, what learning method works best for me? For some people, that might be following a manual, while others prefer self-guided courses or might be more inclined to start by watching a few talks or listening to podcasts. Nevertheless, there is only one definitive way to implement mindfulness into everyday life, and that is by practicing. The advantage of attending a live mindfulness course is that the learning will be experiential - you will learn as you practice and explore the benefits of this practice together with the teacher. If you attend a group course, you might also gain some knowledge from others' experiences.
More than movement. Yoga is not just about physical postures, it is a holistic practice that integrates breath work, bodily awareness and mindfulness. By tuning into bodily sensations and aligning breath with movement, yoga helps the mind remain in the present moment, creating a pathway to meditation. The practice of yoga cultivates physical wellbeing, emotional balance and mental clarity, helping to create a meditative state as you connect body and mind through conscious movement.
This therapeutic approach blends reflective practice, elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and values-based work. It involves maintaining an open and curious attitude toward personal experiences, using Buddhist principles of non-judgmental presence and self-compassion. This approach is gentle, slow and patient, encouraging an exploration of thoughts, emotions and behaviours without an attachment to specific outcomes. Through mindful awareness and self-compassion, it becomes possible to welcome change and transformation, gradually integrating shifts in long-established habits and patterns, allowing for personal growth.
